Future Olympian?

We have been enjoying the Olympics in the Brock household.  Nolan, who has always loved sports, has been going crazy!  We have been "playing" some sports that aren't even in the summer Olympics.  The favorites are ice hockey, baseball, and football.  We have also played water polo (complete with "swimming" across the floor), volleyball, boxing, and wrestling.  Hopefully he won't be too sad once they are over...it will be a long 4 years before we get to see them again.

Nolan went to the doctor today because of running a fever.  Kevin took him and Dr. CS asked if he has been watching the Olympics.  Nolan said "yes".  She asked what his favorite thing was and he answered "speed walking!"  She said "oh really?" and he said "yes, my mommy recorded it."  This had me cracking up!  We did watch a little bit of speed walking the other day, but we did not record it and this is the first time he brought it up since then.

Maybe boxing will be his thing?

Nolan just finished his second session of swim lessons.  He continues to do really well.  The thing we need to work on is his breathing though.  He will lift his head out of the water on occasion but he really isn't taking a breath.  He loves to tell us that he loves us and he also tells us how pretty and handsome we are.

Henry continues to be a busy guy.  I think with all the sports we have been playing he is almost running.  He enjoys trying to hit the ball with either the hockey stick or golf club.  He is still eating quite a bit but doesn't seem to beg for food quite as much as he had been.  Just like Nolan at this age he has learned to say "ah ah ah" for the Count.

Nolan got a new slip and slide on clearance.  I think he is a little young for it still because he didn't really know how to run and then slide.

Henry says "cheese" whenever there is a camera around!

 The boys playing trains together.

Henry's first ride in the bike trailer.

I bought Nolan some new Toy Story PJ's.  He is in love with them!  He was nice to share the Woody ones with Henry.  Can you believe they at 3T and not that big on Henry?!?!

Family picture taken by setting the timer.  Not too shabby!
