Last week started out with Nolan home because of teacher in service at daycare. On the sick days that Nolan has been home with me we always stay at the house but I wanted to get out and do something with him. We dropped Henry off at Nanna's and then went grocery shopping and on a lunch date to McDonald's. He got to run around and play for a little bit and had a good time. Last Wednesday he started swim lessons. Kevin is doing them with him because a parent is required in the pool with them at his age. Kevin said he did very well. He went to the neighborhood pool on both Saturday and Sunday too. I see lots of pool trips in our future!
On Saturday we went to lunch with Pegby, Nonnie, Kasey and Brian for an early Mother's Day lunch. Directly from there we drove out to Jersey Village to go to Brandon's 2nd birthday party. Jeff, Lori, and Brandon just moved to Houston. Hopefully the 2 of them will be able to get together again soon because they share a love of Elmo, Cookie Monster, trucks, and coloring.
Sunday was Mother's Day and we had a pretty low key day. Nolan and Henry gave me a "mother's necklace" that has a "N" and a "H" for my two boys. Nolan helped Kevin make me some chocolate chip pancakes that were yummy! We took a nice long walk and went to the pool that afternoon.
